1. Data We Collect

We collect the following data: email address, username, device data (IP address, browser, operating system), viewing preferences, payment data (processed by third-party gateway), and cookies/similar tracking technologies.

For advertising conversion tracking purposes, we also collect: hashed email (SHA-256, not raw email), ad click identifiers (Google Click ID / gclid, Facebook Click ID / fbc), and anonymous browser identifiers (cookies _fbp, _gcl_aw). This data is used solely to measure advertising campaign effectiveness.

2. Use of Data

Collected data is used for: providing and improving services, personalizing content recommendations, payment processing, platform usage analysis, security and abuse prevention, service-related communications, and measurement and optimization of advertising campaigns on third-party platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads).

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies for a better user experience. Cookies help us remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and provide personalization features. You can manage cookie preferences through browser settings at any time.

Specific cookies used:

  • Session & authentication cookies — to maintain your login state.
  • Cookies _ga, _gid (Google Analytics) — for anonymous website traffic analysis.
  • Cookies _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc (Google Ads) — to measure conversions from Google ads.
  • Cookies _fbp, _fbc (Meta/Facebook) — to measure conversions from Facebook & Instagram ads.
  • Cookie SHORTNESIA_ref — for internal referral/affiliate attribution.
  • Cookie shortnesia_cookie_consent — to store your cookie consent preferences.

4. Advertising & Conversion Tracking

ShortNesia uses third-party advertising and analytics services to measure advertising campaign effectiveness and optimize user experience. The following services are used:

a. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze website traffic anonymously. GA4 collects data such as pages visited, visit duration, and device used. This data does not personally identify you. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

b. Google Ads Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure actions you take after clicking our Google ads (e.g., registering an account or purchasing a VIP subscription). Google uses cookies (_gcl_aw) and Google Click ID (gclid) for conversion attribution. This data is shared with Google per their privacy policy. You can manage Google ad preferences at: adssettings.google.com.

c. Meta Pixel & Conversions API (Facebook/Instagram)

We use Meta Pixel (client-side) and Meta Conversions API (server-side) to measure conversions from Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta Pixel uses cookies (_fbp, _fbc) to track website interactions. The Conversions API sends conversion data directly from our server to Meta for higher accuracy (ad-blocker resistant).

Data sent to Meta includes: conversion events (Purchase, CompleteRegistration, InitiateCheckout, ViewContent), your hashed email (SHA-256, not raw email), and anonymous browser identifiers. Meta uses this data per their Data Policy: facebook.com/privacy. You can manage Meta ad preferences at: facebook.com/adpreferences.

d. Histats

We use Histats for additional website traffic analysis. Histats collects visit data anonymously. More information: histats.com.

Conversion Events Tracked

  • PageView — every page visited (Meta Pixel, automatic).
  • Purchase — when VIP payment is successful (Google Ads + Meta Pixel + Meta CAPI).
  • CompleteRegistration — when a new account is successfully created (Google Ads + Meta Pixel + Meta CAPI).
  • InitiateCheckout — when the pay button is clicked on the VIP page (Meta Pixel + GA4).
  • ViewContent — when a drama detail page is opened (Meta Pixel + GA4).

5. Third Parties

We work with third parties for payment processing (Pakasir), content providers (FreeReels API), analytics (Google Analytics, Histats), advertising and conversion tracking (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook), authentication (Google OAuth), email (Resend), and hosting infrastructure. These third parties have their own privacy policies and only access data necessary for their services.

6. User Rights

  • Right to access personal data we store.
  • Right to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to delete your account and related data (via profile settings).
  • Right to withdraw consent for data usage at any time.
  • Right to refuse cookies (may affect user experience).
  • Right to manage ad preferences via Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and Meta Ad Preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences).
  • Right to use ad-blockers or browser privacy mode without penalty — the service continues to function normally.

7. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, password hashing (bcrypt), and email hashing (SHA-256) before sending to advertising platforms. Raw email is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

8. Contact
